Truth is I've just always loved jewelry. I'm a people person and really creative. I get so much from making people's dreams come true. My favorite thing is to suggest an idea that no one has ever thought of... "What about this?" To see their eyes light up and that excited look come across their face... I love it! Product and stone knowledge is my forte. I'm also a great detective.
People come in to our store all the time and are not sure what they are looking for. I'm naturally curious and love puzzles and a good mystery. I hear them out, ask questions and then listen some more... until folks really know what they are looking for. Sometimes what people "want" and "need" are two very different things. The important thing is that they see things clearly. Then the MAGIC begins!
I love building a rapport and developing relationships. I've always worked with the public, I'm outgoing and people are interesting to me. Just hearing customer's stories; it's interesting to know about people, their life and what they've been through. It makes their jewelry more special somehow.
I had to laugh when someone asked me about what I do for our clients by way of customer service! There is SO much that goes on behind the scenes. Maybe I'll drive to pick something up or drop another thing off. Maybe it's the wonderfully creative solution I come up with to meet a super-rush delivery date. Stuff happens all the time and I've learned to be creative, resourceful and make things work seamlessly for our clients. Most of the time they never see me sweat!
Unless we really start chatting, you may not know that I have a cat named Frances, a dog named Homer and a giant coy fish tattoo on my calf. I'm an avid gardener and builder of all things wooden! I've made a boat-shaped bookcase for a friend and most recently a sign for my hubby's business. I can grow just about any kind of flower and have a passion for the tropical ones: Hibiscus, Anthurium and Orchid. Musically, all the talent in the family went to my kids so I love live music but don't play anything. I'll be the one with the camera!
I suppose it comes down to creativity. Until I fulfill my dream of travelling to Greece & Italy or vacationing in Bali or Figi, you will find me here at our Morgan Hill store. Stop in and say hi as you're walking by.
